Install A Home Leak Monitor/Alarm– We suggest placing the home leak monitors in your basement around your water heater, pipes, toilets plumbing fixtures etc., it will alert you as soon as it detects any water.  This is a quick option.  You would purchase an alarm from your local home improvement store. The sensor will sound an alarm if there is water around the area you have placed it.  You must be home to hear it, it will not alert you if there is a power outage, you must remember to change batteries. 

Another option, specifically for your sump pump, is a cellular pump alarm that we attach to your sump pump.
